College History
The origin of the educational trust Shree Nootan Kelavani Mandal can be traced back in the 1956, when its pioneers like Late Shree Morarji Desai, the ex-Prime Minister of India, Late Shree Siddharthbhai Lalbhai Sheth, and Shree Kantilal Ranchhodji Desai succeeded in accomplishing their long cherish dream of providing opportunities of higher education to the socially backward communities of Valsad District. The trust made a humble beginning by initiating Shree Nootan Kelavani Mandal Arts and Science College in 1957. Their efforts got tremendous response from the people and need for establishing a Commerce College was soon realized. Consequently, the trust made an inclusion of a Commerce College with Arts College in the year 1964. The N. K. M. Science College was renamed as B. K. M. Science College in the year 1964. Besides above Shree K. M. Law College was established in the year 1968.
Far from the hustle-bustle of the main city the college is situated near the Arabian Sea coast which is just two and a half kilometers away from its campus which is surrounded by a beautiful garden which provides a pollution free and peaceful atmosphere for teaching and learning.
Besides, the college has been directing all its efforts to explore the potentialities of its students and promote an environment, favourable for an overall development of their personalities.
